Avid Publications

David Roberts, Avid PublicationsSpecialising in maritime titles, Avid is an independent publisher from Merseyside in the north-west of Britain, started by David Roberts in 1990. David is an ex-Cammell Laird apprentice turned Lecturer, publisher, writer and broadcaster, and it is his Cammell Laird connections that got him started with his first two books about the once world famous shipyard on the Birkenhead side of the River Mersey, opposite Liverpool.

Naturally, being from Merseyside and from a maritime background, Avid's maritime books and DVDs have very strong connections with what was once the greatest seaport in the world.
